It’s a World known fact sports fan do amazing things to celebrate the glorious victory against their rival teams. but these two national team fans did something unpopular – cleaning up the stadium as a good gesture and awareness.
It’s a usual thing when the winning team gain new fans after winning the game, but Senegal’s fan gesture won new fans all around the globe, not to mention Japanese fans did the same and won hearts. Now that’s something special.
We have all heard the news fans became violent, broke cars, almost establish a riot but have you ever heard cleaning up stadium cause the team won the game? I don’t think so.

After the Senegal football match against Poland, which Polish team had to face dramatic defeat by 2-1 on June 19, fraction of Senegal supporters stayed behind when everyone left and started cleaning the mess other fans have made. They basically picked up all the plastic water bottles, glasses, etc, all sort of garbage which, I believe, is a nice thing to do. Check out the video.

Adding more to it, even Japanese fans stayed behind and picked all the garbage after the match against Colombia. However, Japan won historically by 2-1 as well.

But the most heartwarming thing is, Colombian fans also joined the good gesture though they had lost the game.
Look at the happy face, he knows he is doing something great.
Japan-based football journalist Scott McIntyre wrote:
You often hear people say football is the rejection of culture. An important aspect of Japanese society is making sure that everything is absolutely clean and that’s the case in all sporting events and certainly also in football.
The Senegal and Japan National team may have won the game, but their fans have won the heart.
